Nursing Home Ministry

This ministry provides encouragement and support for those in nursing homes. This nation's many care facilities provide extended care for the physical needs of their residents. As ministry volunteers, we provide spiritual care not only for those who reside in care centers but also for those who are employed by the facilities. The author of Hebrews writes, “And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16). If you like more information on how you can participate in this ministry ask Mrs. Brenda for more information.

This Especially holds true around Christmas. We are raising funds to make sure every resident will be loved.

We support our local GA Children home Campuses in both:

  1. Meansville Campus 2821 US Hwy 19, Meansville, GA 30256

  2. Good Shepherd Riding Academy 390 Bar Rest Ranch Rd, Warm Springs, GA, 31830

The Children’s home is always collecting paper goods and supplies. For more information visit their website: GA Children's Home

Bereavement Ministry

Losing a family member can be one of the most difficult and painful experiences a person will go through. It is important to have a solid support system of friends and other family members during such devastating times. We work in conjunction with the local funeral home to offer an avenue of comfort in this time of difficulty. If you know someone who needs encouragement or you want to join our encouragement team feel free to contact the church office.

“Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Discipleship Ministry

One of the most important needs in the church today is personal discipleship. In the book of Mathew Christ calls us not to be disciples, or converts, but to be disciple makers. So a good place to start is by learning what it means to be a disciple. Here a West End Baptist we have many opportunities to deepen Christian convictions and also to ignite a stronger passion for encouraging others in how to follow Jesus. Since the Bible is the clearest revelation of the character and will of God; it is the starting point for all biblical study and spiritual growth. If you are looking for a place to deepen your walk with the Lord or are just interested in learning a little more about Jesus contact the Pastor to see where you can connect. Some of our gatherings include:

  1. Sunday School (9:45 am)

  2. Sunday Night Bible Study (6:00 pm)

  3. Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting (6:00pm)
